Abstract:: Com o objetivo de pensar as implicações entre o comum e o singular em Herberto Helder, proponho uma leitura que faz dialogar as perspectivas de criação respectivamente à Herberto Helder e Fernando Pessoa, com foco na questão fáustica. Trata-se de sondar aspectos ligados à criação literária, seus limites e potencialidades no que se refere aos questionamentos destinados à questão do (auto)conhecimento em cada um dos autores. Leva-se em conta o imaginário de Fausto na tradição literária em relação ao modernismo (representado por Fernando Pessoa) e à contemporaneidade portuguesa (representada por Herberto Helder).; In order to think about the implications between the common and the singular in Herberto Helder, I propose a reading that puts into dialogue the creation perspectives of Herberto Helder and Fernando Pessoa, focusing on the issue of the Faust pact. The purpose is investigating aspects related to literary creation, its limits and potentialities with regard to the question of (self) knowledge in each of the authors. Fausto's imaginary is taken into account in the literary tradition in relation to modernism (represented by Fernando Pessoa) and Portuguese contemporaneity (represented by Herberto Helder).
