Nap reviewing the Grand Army or the conquest of Russia anticipated, plate 2

Description

Abstract:
Sitting proudly on his white horse, Napoleon uses his sword to point to his troops who march in the valley below. He is joined on this hilltop by several other officers, on foot and on horseback, as well as two Mamelukes who patiently stand guard. The orderly French regiments occupy the entire landscape, and can even be seen entering a walled city on the distant horizon.
