With short P.S. on verso of envelope postmarked Oct. 20, 1932. Enclosed is a newspaper photo of a herd of walrus sunning themselves on an ice flow. Closes by noting: "Belknap read my "Shadow Over Innsmouth" & thought it showed a decline in the old man's powers. Between that opinion & Comte d'Erlette's annihilation of "Witch House", I'm about ready to fade from the map. Incidentally - my present ghosting job amounts virtually to the writing of an original story" [i.e. The Man of Stone for Hazel Heald]. Newspaper photo has been copied.
