Description

Abstract:
This prayer to Mary asks for her protection from the epidemic and dangers "that surround us." Bishop Joaquin Fernandez Madrid conceded 240 days of indulgence for every recitation of this prayer. Probably the "peste" was the cholera epidemic immediately following the war with the United States.
Notes:
At end of text: El Illmo.
