Description

Abstract:
Vice-President Anastasio Bustamante, using the executive powers, promulgates a law that Congress passed on 23 May 1832. The decree calls on the government to appoint commissioners to "go to the two Californias" in order to establish mechanisms and offices for the collection and distribution of public funds "according to the particular circumstances of those territories."
