A view of Providence through one of the side gates of the Van Wickle Gates. The gates were dedicated on June 18, 1901 with the bequest of Augustuc Stout Van Wickle, 1876. The center gates remain closed except to admit students at the ebinning of the college year and on Commencement Day to allow the procession to pass through.
