Most resembles jalīl al-tawqī‘ style of script after Ibn al-Bawwab (d. 1031); one of the "Six Classic Hands." (c.f. Safwat "The Art of the Pen"; p. 231). Five lines. Text box dimensions measure 20.4 x 13.9 cm.
Paper in good condition overall. Some loss due to insect damage, especially along spine; evidence of attempts to reinforce spine with strips of paper. Some spots of discoloration. Ruling lines visible on both sides.
Black ink on white paper with black diacritical marks. Gilded red and green floral verse markers present. "734" appears in pencil on verso, "S.24, v.44 - S 25, 22" on recto.
