Dennis Maynard and Michael Freeman recall growing up in the West Elmwood neighborhood. They reminisce about the neighborhood's rural character, recreation activities, foodways, houses, and streetscapes. In addition, they reflect on race and class divisions between West Elmwood and neighboring communities and reactions to the development of the Huntington Industrial Park.
