First stanza of poem reads: Vio nossos males / o pai dos lusos; / negros abusos / corre a banir. / Cantemos todos, etc. etc.
Anonymous political poem in eight stanzas, printed in two columns, dating from the time of the political revolution, which erupted in Portugal in 1820 and concluded in 1821 with the return of the Portuguese court from Brazil; in 1822 a new constitution was ratified and implemented.
