- O Barão de Teive é uma das "figuras" menos estudadas de Fernando Pessoa. Definido como fidalgo português, é autor de um conjunto de textos fragmentários intitulado A Educação do Stoico. É neste manuscrito de teor confessional que o Barão perscruta a sua relação com a Vida e com a Morte, na qual termina, suicidando-se. O propósito deste artigo é analisar em que medida o Barão é um inadaptado à vida, como o próprio Pessoa descreve, e de que modo essa condição está estruturada no complexo fenómeno da lucidez.
- The Baron of Teive is one of Fernando Pessoa's least studied characters. Defined as a Portuguese noble man, he is the author of a collection of fragmented texts that bear the name of The Education of the Stoic. In this confessional manuscript, the Baron describes his relationship with Life and Death, ending with the former, through his suicide. The purpose of this article is to analyse the way in which the Baron is a misfit regarding life, as Pessoa describes him, and in what way this condition is structured within the complex phenomenon of Lucidity.
