Abstract:: The author presents a personal statement regarding the question posed about the internationalization of contemporary Portuguese historiography. He defends that there is no contradiction between Europeanization and internationalization, by suggesting that the two strategies go hand in hand.; O autor apresenta um testemunho pessoal sobre a questão da internacionalização da historiografia portuguesa contemporânea. Ele defende não haver contradições entre Europeanização e internacionalização, sugerindo que as duas estratégias caminham lado a lado.
