By partnering directly with critical infrastructure providers, the National Guard Bureau can help build a stronger cybersecurity posture that enables quicker cyber incident detection and more successful response and recovery outcomes. This Critical Challenge Project aims to address fundamental issues of the Major General Timothy Lowenberg Cyber Defenders Act by providing analysis and recommendations of key legislative components. Additionally, this project develops a team methodology baseline that can be further used to define operational employment of Cyber Civil Support Teams (CCST) proposed within the act. Finally, recommendations of methods for which the CCST can support information sharing and analysis through national level intelligence and cybersecurity sharing entities are be identified.
