ncreased weight gain during pregnancy is a problem that affects the overall health of the mother and infant. Few studies have focused on patterns in gestational weight gain (GWG) for women without risk factors. Although guidelines for gestational weight gain were recommended in 2009, little of the existing research has examined the ideal range for weight gain during pregnancy. This study examined the trends in gestational weight gain and provided recommendations for weight management interventions.
