The Dunwich Horror

Description

Abstract:
This typescript, containing some minor manuscript corrections, was prepared by HPL. The original story was written between June and August 1928 (SL 329, HPL to James F. Morton, June 1928): "I'm at work on the first new story I've written in a year and a half. It is to be called The Dunwich Horror." SL 332, HPL to Clark Ashton Smith, Aug. 31, 1928: "I have managed to snatch the time to write one new tale ... The title is The Dunwich Horror"). First published in Weird Tales, 13, No. 4 (Apr 1929). Title page has note in pencil: "AWD - There is a misprinted word...".
