Contemporâneos de Contemporânea (1922-1926): Contexto nacional e internacional

Description

Abstract:
When, in 1922, Contemporânea is published again, the world was very different from the one that had seen the magazine initially appear, in 1915, with Orpheu, Eh Real!, or Atlântida. In this article, we will be focusing on the national and international context of this very important resurgence, considering José Pacheco’s magazine in a transdisciplinar frame, that is, not only from a graphic point of view, but also from a textual point of view. Thus, we will talk about Pacheco as a reader of periodicals, but also about the year 1922 and the magazines that, in and out of Portugal, came out to the public during that year (and while Contemporânea was published) and established themselves as a symbol of the 1920s and Modernism.
