Abstract:
As a summer scholar, I was paired with Dr. Caroline Kistin. Wherein her research focuses on food insecurity and its association to health outcomes. My internship responsibilities, included policy research, quantitative analysis, in addition to attending weekly leadership and professional development sessions. I connected with other scholars and public health professionals to learn about the current work dedicated to improving children’s health in Rhode Island.
