Description

Abstract:: Several policy initiatives could help to ensure that low-income Americans benefit from 340B drug price savings. Transparency initiatives that elucidate how hospitals use 340B revenues to benefit low-income patients are the most politically feasible first step towards reining in the program. Requiring hospitals to disclose this information allows policymakers and researchers to have greater oversight over the sprawling program, putting pressure on hospitals to have greater integrity with the use of their savings.
