Abstract:: This document is a note on Common Minimum Programme - Minimal on Environmental Issues. It says, "The CMP is strong on some social issues, rightly giving emphasis to employment, agriculture, education, and health. These areas of Indian society have been generally neglected in the last few years, with economic policies pampering to the ever-increasing consumptive desires of the upper middle classes. Unfortunately, a natural adjunct to such a shift in emphasis would have been an equally strong focus on environmental sustainability, and that is almost completely missing in the CMP. "
