The Dollar Rules

Description

Abstract:
The article discusses threatening of the primacy of the U.S. dollar which has been the preeminent global reserve currency backed up by the dominance of the U.S. economy and financial markets due to several developments. Topics include advent of the euro representing the monetary unification in terms of gross domestic product (GDP), global financial crisis of 2008–2009 affecting the dollar by exposing the U.S. financial system fragility and growth of China into economic and military superpower.
