Winner-take-all Urbanism: Geographic Divisions in the Modern Era

Description

Abstract:
An interview with Richard Florida, author of the "New Urban Crisis," is presented. Topics include involvement with urbanization after taken by the downsides of the urban revitalization, difference between the urban optimists and the urban pessimists, and decline of the middle class both in cities and suburbs due to rising income inequality in the U.S. and upward mobility. Other topics include New Urban Crisis as global phenomenon and ways for the crisis to be resolved such as urban policy.
