Description

Abstract:
The article discusses urbanization as most momentous global trends of the twenty-first century, its Challenges and New Urban Agenda (NUA) from United Nations (UN). Topics include insufficient attention given to the consequences of urbanization leading to negative aspects such as social strife and slums and informal settlements, urbanization providing momentum and foundation for global change, and NUA providing roadmap for guiding sustainable urban development globally over the next 20 years.
