Abstract:
The article discusses several elections in Europe with a focus on the elections at the European Parliament (EP) in 2009 including the legislative elections in Great Britain and the role of the radical right. It mentions that the elections in Europe allowed the radical right to gain strength and achieve increase in the electoral successes amidst fiscal austerity and economic crisis. It discusses the role of political parties in the successes of the radical right during elections in Europe.
