- Abstract:
- The author explores security, political, and economic consequences of climate change. He shares statement issued by the Royal United Services Institute which suggests that uncontrolled climate change may create security implications comparable to World Wars. He explains how climate change may be interconnected with conflict, citing examples which include the global increase in food prices due to droughts in Russia and flooding in Canada. Aside from global starvation, he stresses that climate change may also contribute to Middle East wars, armed conflict due to political breakdowns, and collapse of global share markets.
