- In this article, the authors suggest reforms at the United Nations (UN). The first author focuses on three specific areas of special importance to the U.S.: the death penalty, gun control and abortion. He thinks these areas are important for understanding what people have seen in the UN and some of the things they are likely to see in the future. He wants to include not only the activities of specific UN agencies, funds, and programs, but conferences that have been called under UN auspices as well. The second author discusses the role of the UN in world affairs. He explores many aspects of the UN which are corrupt, nepotistic, or inefficient.
