Under New Management: Historical Context and Current Challenges at the World Bank

Abstract:
The article discusses the role of the World Bank. According to the author, as a global institution of power and authority, the World bank over the past years has become superior. He says that it manages some of the world's worst crises through different programs and funds. He adds that it examines worldwide initiatives to lessen onerous debt in highly indebted countries and restructures countries' capacities to engage in the global economy.
