L' Actionnaire du théâtre

Description

Abstract:
A theatre donor visits his theatre. The scene represents a young actress (playing a young man's role), asking for his help renewing her contract.
Notes:
Millaud mocks the theatre benefactor who knows nothing about drama and comedy, but nonetheless advises the actors and reads screenplays. Millaud hints that the real reward lies in being known on the art scene and receiving young women's favors.
