Scan of the article "One Giant Step for Educational Computing." This article describes the Institute for Research in Information and Scholarship (IRIS) project called Intermedia. Intermedia was an educational tool based on hypermedia, highly cross-linked textual information. Two students of Prof. Andy van Dam, Norman Meyrowitz and Nicole Yankelovich, were instrumental in managing IRIS and the Intermedia project.
The Brown CS Digital Archive is a crowdsourced effort to curate items from our faculty, staff, students, and alums that have contributed to Brown CS history and preserve them permanently online, where they will be accessible to all.
