Description
- Abstract:
- Interview with the organist at the Holy Rosary Church in Fox Point. Medeiros is a Portuguese immigrant who came to the Point in 1952 and lived there until 1970. His interview provides an in depth account of his experience in the Providence school system and reflects both deep nostalgia for the neighborhood and positive feeling towards the changes in Fox Point. His account includes commentary on the religious community in Fox Point, the catharsis of music, and the Vietnam War.
