Interview with Debra Vieira

Abstract:
Debra Vieira was born at Preston Street in Fox Point on September 18, 1953, the oldest of seven children. While growing up in Fox Point, she saw both of her grandmothers frequently. She attended Ives Street School, the Fox Point School, Nathan Bishop Junior High, and Hope High School. She worked in a jewelry factory during high school then attended hairdressing school. She worked at a salon on Hope Street, then Blue Cross/Blue Shield. After taking time off to raise her sons, she began working at the Vartan Gregorian School, where she is currently employed. She and her husband currently live in Bristol, R.I. In this interview she talks about her time growing up in Fox Point and the activities she did as a small girl.
