Printed in three parallel columns after caption title and statement of responsibility; columns of text separated by printer's rules; engraved ornamental headpiece bearing the words "La République française" printed above caption title.
Proclamation by Polverel and Sonthonax ordering mobilization; the first two pieces are laws of 25 August, and 2 September 1792, each of which relates to the arming of military personnel; followed by a proclamation consisting of eleven articles implementing the laws and ordering the conscription of citizens; the punishment for refusing to serve in the army was seizure, disarmament, trial by military tribunal for treason, and finally execution.
