Abstract:
Recorded in Mayoro in April 1975, this jongo song appears to have been popular and widespread in the Kasena region in the 1970s since the Koetting Collection includes numerous performances and demonstrations of this tune within and outside Kayoro (the meaning of the song being that Nagila comes from the Kayoro side).
