- Abstract:
- These images present three scenes of warfare around Reggio, which is at the toe of the Italian peninsula across from Sicily. In 1860 Garibaldi fought against the forces of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, which was based in Naples. Garibaldi's general Nino Bixio besieged Reggio in August 1860.
