- Original watercolor signed and dated 1943 by Crown; view across ocean of gigantic thundercloud over distant island mountain which could be a volcanic eruption.
- Notes:
- Artist had crossed out the words "of God" within title phrase.
- Crown served in the South Pacific as an infantry artist and Staff Sergeant. He was also a field correspondent for Yank magazine. Gift of the artist, 1994.
