Lincoln and Tad

Description

Abstract:
Clipping comprising a relief halftone (after a photograph) of the bronze statue "Lincoln and Tad," sculpted by Fred and Mabel Torrey of Des Moines, Iowa. The sculpture is based on an 1864 photograph taken by Anthony Berger, and was commissioned to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address. It was dedicated in November 1961, and resides on the grounds of the Iowa State Capitol building.
