Abstract:
Silver gelatin photograph of an early model in clay for the statue "Lincoln and Tad," sculpted by Fred and Mabel Torrey after an 1864 photograph by Anthony Berger of Mathew Brady's Gallery in Washington, D.C. The statue was commissioned by Friends of Lincoln, Inc. in Des Moines, Iowa.
