- This interview contains information on the perceptions of the Pond and the neighborhood. Sam draws on his childhood memories, beginning from the time he moved into the home that he and his wife Rena live in today. From this interview, the rumors, folklore, and reputation of Mashapaug Pond can be gathered and several histories of specific locations including Popeye’s, JT Owens, car dealerships, and Asian markets.
