- A longtime resident of Providence, Brenda McBride has lived in the Cresent Street neighborhood since 1999. She discusses raising a daughter on the pond and what that meant for her as a parent. McBride, who works as a school social worker, describes her connection to Alvarez High School, her views on education in Providence, and Providence's African American community.
