Description

Abstract:: A photograph of the Colosseum, Rome, Italy. The Colosseum was begun in 72 CE by Emperor Vespasian and completed in 80 CE by his son, Titus. It was the largest amphitheater in the Roman Empire, capable of seating 70,000 spectators.
