- A photograph of Buckingham Palace, the residence of the British monarch, in London, England. The palace, built in the early 19th century, has been the official residence of the British monarch since 1837, when Queen Victoria moved in upon her accession to the throne. This photograph shows the East Front of the building, added in 1850 and redesigned in 1913.
