Description
- Abstract:
- This article presents assumptions that support the conception of contemporary literature and, based on them, reflects on the artistic work of the author cataguasense, Luiz Ruffato. The analysis of two narratives, published in Inferno Provisório, allows the verification of its innovative characteristics, which are expressed in thematic pieces and in the conduct of language. It is concluded that, although they refer to a spatial and temporally situated society, the texts do not establish a relation of consonance with the empirical universe, since the fictional representation privileges the creative process, that brings to light obscure elements of the present, through a bold language. In this sense, the work of Ruffato allows to classify it as contemporary, which does not limit its reception to the present, due to its aesthetic merits.
