- Abstract:
- Manuscript document written in Havana, Cuba dated November 6, 1856. One leaf - two pages (text on one page). This fascinating document is a bill of sale for three slaves 50, 11 and 8 years of age. All three were sold for 1000 pesos. Translated summary of the document reads as follows; Jose Garcia Rosi sells Juan Arau the "Pardo" slaves Juan Pedro, of 50 years of age, Jose, 11, and Juliana, of 8 years of age, for the sum of 1000 pesos. Signed: Havana, 6/11/1856. Jose Garcia Rosi and Antonio Domingo, on behalf of Juan Arau.
