- This document is a draft note 'Concerns about state of Environmental Governance for NAC. It says, "Numerous people’s groups, NGOs, and mass movements, have expressed concern that the importance of environmental issues in governmental decision-making has been severely undermined in past few years. In particular, the role of the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) seems increasingly to have become simply to be a clearing agency for economic and commercial activities, regardless of their environmental impact"
