At least 15 of the sermons were delivered in Brazil, from 1634 to 1640, and 1654 to 1659, with occasional references to Brazil. One sermon, headed: "Sermo pro felici successu armorum Portugaliæ contra Hollandos.", was held on the occasion of the victory of the Portuguese over the Dutch in 1640 (v.3: p. 274-293.
