Constitutes the fifth part of Sammlung von sechs und zwanzig Schiffahrten in verschiedene fremde Länder durch Levinus Hulsius und einige Andere, aus dem Holländischen ins Deutsche übersetzt und mit allerhand Anmerrkungen versehen, compiled by Levinus Hulsius, and printed in 26 parts in Nuremberg, Frankfurt am Main, Oppenheim, and Hanau from 1598 to 1663.
Translation and abridgement of: The discouerie of the large, rich, and bevvtiful empyre of Guiana, with a relation of the great and golden citie of Manoa (which the Spanyards call El Dorado) and of the prouinces of Emeria, Arromaia, Amapaia, and other countries, with their riuers, adioyning. Performed in the yeare 1595 / by Walter Raleigh, printed in London, 1596.
Translated from the German edition of the same year printed under title: Kurtze wunderbare Beschreibung. Dess Goldreichen Königreichs Guianae im America, oder newen Welt, vnter der Linea Aequinoctiali gelegen: so newlich Anno 1594. 1595. vnnd 1596. von dem wolgebornen Herrn, Herrn Walthero Ralegh, einem englischen Ritter, besucht worden.
