An analysis of active shooters in the hospital setting, 2000-2015

Abstract:
Violence in health care settings is a common occurrence, particularly in emergency departments. Gun shootings are particularly concerning, threatening the safety of staff and patients. This study characterized US hospital-based shootings from 2000 to 2015.
