Notes:: Close to Abbasid style D.II (c.f. Deroche "The Abbasid Tradition"; Khalili cat. 24 accession #QUR372). 7 lines. Text box dimensions 11.2 x 16.0 cm.; border dimensions 13.4 x 20.8 cm.; Parchment. Recto very faded, no border, reinforced with paper along right edge. Some loss around upper left corner of recto. Verso shows signs of water damage. Some wrinkling perpendicular to text.; Black ink with red and green diacritical marks. Gilded inner border surrounding text box composed of red, green and black ink. Gilded floral motif with decorative red and blue dots around inner frame. Outer frame of green and black ink. Gilded open floral verse marker with gilded text inside and red and green dots around outer petals appears on verso. Numbered in Arabic on lower left of verso, possibly 02 or 03.
