Abstract:
Statement by the executive director of the Historic Charleston Foundation, Katharine S. Robinson, on the need to preserve New Orleans' cultural heritage by preventing historic architecture from undergoing demolition and promoting restoration efforts. Outlines steps taken by citizens of Charleston after Hurricane Hugo in 1989 to restore the city.
