- Newspaper clipping showing a photograph of "The Eternal Indian," a sculpture installed at the Eagle's Nest Art Colony by colony founder and sculptor Lorado Taft. Taft stated that the sculpture was intended to represent the unconquerable spirit of Indigenous peoples of the Americas, and was inspired by the life of Black Hawk (1767-1838), a warrior and leader of the Sauk people.
