"Lincoln" (Frognerparken)

Description

Abstract:
Photographic print showing the bust Abraham Lincoln by sculptor Paul Fjelde atop a stone pedestal in Oslo's Frognerparken. Inscriptions on two bronze tablets on the pedestal, read: (left) "Presented to Norway by the people of North Dakota, U.S.A. July 4th 1914" and (right) "Government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth" (from the Gettysburg Address)
