Lincoln statue at Webster City (Iowa)

Description

Abstract:
Silver gelatin photographic print of the Lincoln statue by George Ganiere that was commissioned by Alexander Groves in memory of his son Harry, who died on March 4, 1909 (during the Lincoln Centennial), at age 32. The statue was unveiled in 1913 at the high school from which Harry had graduated in 1895.
